Hi, I'm Jun
Jun Wang was born in Harbin, China. She got her Bachelor degree in flute performance at Capital Normal University (CNU) in Beijing, during which time she played as the principle flute of CNU Symphony Orchestra. As an active performer, she brought her music to various cities both in China and the U.S. including Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Harbin, State College, and Winchester.
Jun got her Master degree at Penn State in 2015 under the guidance of Dr. Naomi Seidman. At PSU, she played flute and piccolo in several ensembles including Symphonic Band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and Symphonic Orchestra. After her graduation, she worked with Nittany Theater at the Barn and Happy Valley Chinese School.
In the Summer of 2020, she relocated to New York City after earning the D.M.A degree from Shenandoah University at the studio of Professor Jonathan Snowden, a world renown flutist and a former principal flute of London Philharmonic Orchestra

My Teaching
Jun is an experienced flutist-pedagogue and have taught internationally in China and in the United States. She enjoy working with students of all ages, backgrounds, and ability levels. Jun have maintained a private teaching studio since 2009, and she offer lessons on flute, and piccolo. She loves working with students who are enthusiastic about learning, and she emphasize individualized instruction so that I can support different types of students in reaching their musical goals.
